Michelangelo Lid

The Michelangelo marble comes from the Stazzana cave, in the Apuan Alps.
The great master considered this to be the “ultimate material”, defining it as having a “compact and uniform texture, similar to sugar”.
It was in 1517 that Michelangelo discovered this perfect marble, when he climbed Mount Altissimo in the province of Lucca.
