Petra Lid

The city of Petra, carved into the rok, is one of the world’s most famous archeological sites.
This polychrome sandstone rock dates back to the Peolozoic age and is produced by the sedimentation and accumulation of small grains of sand.
As it is formed in layers, this rock is extremeley resistant. The long oxidation process leads to the formation of incredible colors and shades, so much so that the ancient name for Petra was “Reqem” meaning “colorful”.
